      Re: losing connection

Could be I have misunderstood. I have just noticed the gap between your first post and the third, I had thought they were close together. It appears your router dropped its WAN connection around 12.30pm. Can you check your WAN uptime and see if it shows a drop in the last 15 minutes.

Dropping the WAN connection would not normally require you to reboot your PC, it should reconnect automatically.

Incidentally, downloading 3 things at a time will not get them down much faster than one at a time, unless you are downloading from very slow servers.

8 and a half hours, that confirms the WAN is not dropping.

It looks more likely that the issue is to do with your PC's connection to the router.

Do you have a spare Ethernet cable that you can try?

It may be something as simple as changing the port on the router.

      Re: losing connection

I hate getting people to spend money when it isn't 100% guaranteed to be the issue.

If you can't borrow an Ethernet cable from a friend, do you have a spare LAN card?

Perhaps this may be what needs looking at?

so im guessing it might be my ethernet port on the pc
