Sagemcom F@ST2304 & JDownloader
Hi All,
I'm hoping someone here can help with this (unusual?) question, please.
My old Sky Netgear router packed in and Sky have supplied me with a new Sagemcom F@ST2304 and now all is good again.
I regularly use a download manager called JDownloader and it has a nifty little feature which worked great with my old Netgear router, but can't get it work with the Sagemcom.
The feature is that JDownloader could change your IP with a built in reconnect script. Anybody . . .
A) familiar with JDownloader
B) any ideas on how to set the reconnect script to work with my new Sagemcom?
I've Googled several different ideas, but so far no luck.
Many Thanks
Dumfy

Re: Sagemcom F@ST2304 & JDownloader
Can you check your Network Type? If you are connecting using MER this is probably why it will not work. MER addresses, for some reason, are very sticky and difficult to change.

Re: Sagemcom F@ST2304 & JDownloader
Hi Isitme
Thanks for the reply. My network type does appear to be MER (not sure what that means?). I've pasted details below. You could well be correct as at one point I thought Sky had moved to static IP addresses as mine didn't change when powering off/reboot the router. Did leave it powered off overnight and tried it again just now and my IP has changed - so it's semi static??
Is there anything I can do from my end to set up like the old Netgear?
Many Thanks again
