I received this router last week as a new SKY BB UL customer. I expect all new customers should be getting these now ?

Sky were shipping it to selected new customers, with the intention of shipping to all new customers from the 1st August. This was then put back in the last few days of July to 15th August.

Providing that things have been resolved, what ever the issue was, then all new customers should be getting this router shipped from next Monday.

      Thank you for the pictures.

On a separate note they appear a tad over-sharpened. You might want to consider tweaking those camera settings.

OK maybe I got lucky with this one then?

Doh! I didn't realize this was a photography forum
Poor ambient lighting (and the shiny blandness of the thing...) meant the autofocus was bit off, so these have been sharpened in Photoshop

      Re: Sagemcom F@ST2504 N router - pics

OK as promised some screenshots from the UI. Sorry but nothing really exciting here, looks like a normal set of menus as per any BB router. The options and menus remind me of my current Netgear DGN2000, but with a lot of Sky branding.

If anyone would like a particular screenshot let me know.

      Summary status page
      Detailed status page
Wireless setup Note default wireless mode is "n&g&b".
      Initial advanced setup menu
Manual add a WPS client screen
      Initial Security menu

      Other notes
      - the ethernet ports are 100Mbs only
      - the wireless is confirmed as wireless N, with at least a much range as my current Netgear DGN2000 (which I understand means this router is a lot better than previous Sagemcom efforts)

Any further questions then just ask

The User Interface is virtually the same as the Sagem 2304n. The obvious extras include the WPS screen and unusually that it has stated the LAN connection speed.

Do you have a computer with a 1Gbit LAN port? If you do, it might be useful to see what happens if it is connected.

I wonder too if the router will attempt to connect through your existing router? Since one of the ports is an Ethernet WAN port, this may happen.

What does inSSIDer report as the max WiFi connection speed?

As has already been mentioned on this forum, it is planned to make this router available to existing customers for the price of 35. It is just a case of what date now.
