Linksys WVC54GC IP Camera Forwarding Quick Question

      Hello all,

Hope this is a straightforward question. Basically, I've had the old SKY netgear router working no problem with my IP Camera. Recently though it gave up the ghost, and I got one of the newer Sagem ones instead.

I've changed none of the settings on the camera, and I'm trying to port forward the sagem router to 1024, so that I can access the camera remotely. I didn't get chance to note this down on the old router, but my question is what IP Address should I be putting in the inbound firewall Send to LAN Server setting?

Should it be the camera or the router IP Address?

The camera and the router are talking, because I'm getting the emails triggered on movement.

The camera , is the LAN server you want the connection to go to.

Re: Linksys WVC54GC IP Camera Forwarding Quick Question

Thanks, I thought it might be, but the thing that I noticed was, with the old netgear router I could access the camera via the ADSL IP :1024, whereas with the sagem I cannot (although I can with the remote management :8080 no problem).

Guess I'll test it when I get on a remote machine.

      Thanks again.

      For further info,

I've got the camera called Linksys1 on 192.168.0.115

      Custom Service (TCP/UDP) Linksys1 for port 1024

      Firewall

Outbound Service for Linksys1 for Any LAN and WAN user

Inbound Service for HTTP (port 80) for LAN server 192.168.0.115
