      Many thanks.
The new N router is 35. The only way you would get a free router would be if your present router was less than 12 months old and it went wrong, and even then, it would not be replaced with an N router whilst they were still stocks of G routers (D-Link DSL 2640S) around.

If you purchase the new N router, this would be replaced with the same type whilst under warranty.

Its worth a haggle I suppose, but I doubt your would get the new N router free of charge.

Re: Sky's new Wireless 'N' Router...

when i signed up to bb when it came out i had the Netgear DG834gt, then a few year down the line they sent me Netgear DG934G, out of the blue, there was nothing wrong with the 834.
Last week ordered the new "N" router to replace 934, and received it in a few days. when i was ordering i did try my best to get it free or reduced.i have the sports channel, phone and BB. they would only give me the router free if i signed up to the HD package. As my tv package is redued by 25% for the next 6 months, they said i would not get the router for free or reduced.
the new "N" for me is worth the money, my speed has always been fast as im less then 500m from the exchange. but it was coverage that was the seller, i couldnt get connection on my ipad, htc phone, and very weak signal on my laptop, in the back room.

I have to say I find the router is pretty much worth the 35.

I get a good wireless range, I have streamed full HD video with it to my iPad via the Air Video app, and it played absolutely faultlessly.

I also find (for some strange reason) that webpages load up noticeable faster on my PC, which uses a wired/ethernet connection.

It gets a good download sync, (as good as my D-Link DSL 2640S router did).

      Thanks

Does anyone know if there are any tools with this new router to get it to sync at a lower SNR?
Currently using the original white netgear router as its the only one with tools to sync at a lower SNR than 7.

You won't get the n router free of charge because currently there is no way to order it on the system without taking the payment.

Its a 35 charge for existing customers to upgrade, there is no way round it.

Is there any way to order the router online yet? I've just had a look around MySky but can't see anything myself.

I'm sure I read on another post that the new N router will be available to order through the Sky website either sometime in September or October.

Yep they've said it will be available to get on line in September. Patience is all that is required.

I didn't realise that Patience worked in Sky's marketing department.
