Result, I have found the wireless especially to be very good on this router.

It maybe not the best router in the world, but it certainly does everything I need of it.

Re: Sky's new Wireless 'N' Router...

I have had 2 of these 'new' netgear routers, they seem to drop out every 15-20 minutes

When I got it, the date was 2008, (about the time I have been with Sky BB)

I hope I'm talking about the correct router here though :-)

This thread is about the Sagem 2504N, not the Netgear DG934G.

You'll find the manufacturer's name on the top. The Netgear DG934G has a grey case, with dimples like a gold ball.

The new Sagemcom F@ST2504N has a silver top, with a shiny black underside.

If you are having connection problems, could I suggest that you start a new thread in the section linked below?

Re: Sky's new Wireless 'N' Router...

      Hi all.

I'm interested to understand if this new Router has a better interface for administration than the previous SAGEM?

Is it faster? Does it have better administrative functions ie bandwidth throttleing etc.

I use a lot of the advanced firewall and scheduling functions and get very frustrated by the current Sagems very slow interface.

Re: Sky's new Wireless 'N' Router...

It is little different from the old Sagem, the N wireless being the only real difference. There is no QoS functions available. I have never seen any reports about the Sagem 2504 interface being slow, only the 2304n and early firmware for the 2504n.

Re: Sky's new Wireless 'N' Router...

Thanks Isitime. I have a 2504 running SKY2.8 and it is very slow to load. I am always comparing this to my old Draytek that I used to use with Sky but resorted to the Sky router as my old Draytek didn't support ADSL2+. The Draytek was so much faster and had much better administrative functions. I don't use the wireless on the Sky router as I have had a Wireless access point running N for some years. So I'm just trying to justify to myself the 35 plus P&P to upgrade.
