      Question Router question

I was with Sky Broadband a while back and left due to the monthly capping and went to O2 but i have resigned back up for the BB, i have just a couple of questions prior to my connection going live on the 1st Aug.

They have sent me a Sagem 2304N is it any good or as a new subscriber have i been palmed of or shall i try and get a different one ?

Do they still lower your ping for gaming if you ask them to (cant remember what its called)

with the Sagem routers is there a DMZ like the old trustee DG834GT because the O2 routers dont have a DMZ facility ?

      thanks guys

It had some teething problems but the latest firmware seems to have fixed it. It is a very Lite wireless N pushing out 72mbps.

They still use what is know as a 'gamer profile'

The DMZ setting is still available. It is also available on the O2 router, but under a different name. I believe it is called "Assign the public IP address of a connection to a LAN device" which means the selected address is bypassing the firewall, just as in a DMZ.

      Re: Router question

Now the accepted way is to ask to be put on a Gamer Profile, same thing just different wording.
