    SKY Router frustrations

    This is a discussion on SKY Router frustrations within the Sky Router forums, part of the Sky Broadband help category; But if they are providing a service especially dependent on using their equipment, should not a faulty router be replaced ...

      But if they are providing a service especially dependent on using their equipment, should not a faulty router be replaced FOC regardless of age? The router is an integral and fundamental part of the service provided by Sky after all.

      Could be wrong, but from what I remember reading:

      - Small trial at the moment with sales giving the new N routers to new customers
      - Provided the above goes well, routers go on sale to existing customers come 1st August
      - The new router is both vDSL & adsl2plus compatible

      Not everyone gets charged for a replacement router, but if not warned then the OP would be upset.

      I posed the question for people to comment on since it is known that the new router is due for release soon. Since the OP has the original router, someone at sky may look and replace it FOC with the new one.

      As for paying 35 for it, well I did get myself another router recently for 135 instead.
