Stats look not bad, but you must have rebooted the router about 12 hours before you took them. Either that or the router has rebooted itself, which woud be unusual for the GT and may signal a failure being imminent. If you can post your stats after another 24 hours, that may show something.

How did updating the drivers go?

      Hey,

Doesn't seem to have helped. Here are stats, just after having a disconnection.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but when I troubleshoot through windows, it always tries resetting the Local Area Connection adapter, but then it just says unidentified network and I still can't access the internet.

      Re: Trouble with ethernet connection

Your main problem seems to be your connection is dropping. It looks like you have a fault on your line or your router is faulty. Can you download and run Routerstats Lite for about 24 hours and see if it shows when and how it is dropping. Internet Software.

If your router has been in constant use for 4-5 years, it may well be on its way out. Do you have another router you could try, or can you borrow one? Many Sky users have spare routers, maybe you know one.

      Re: Trouble with ethernet connection

This router is only about a year and a half old. Like I said, it only happens when I try and download something in the other room - so if I'm using iTunes to update my iphone, or if I do windows update. Apart from that, the internet is fine. So weird!

So it is not a Sky router. If you still have your Sky router, try that and see if the problem goes away. Just because it is relatively new does not mean it is not faulty. If another router performs the same, then it points at a line or exchange fault.
