Although the aerial is placed nearer the centre of the board in the 2504, the same principle applies. All of the Sky routers should be stood on their ends for best performance.

      Re: Sagem Wifi performance

I too have received the new f@st 2504n (with latest update) and the wireless pickup is worse than the previous "G" rated Sagem which started to die last week.
(must say though only took two days for Sky to send me a new router), unfortunatly just happend to be this piece of rubbish. (sales of goods act comes to mind)

Now looking to purchase my own router as I have the password from the last machine.

(edit all my dongled are G,N&A rated)

Are you sure it is the F@ast 2504N as this is the latest Sky full N router. You are the first to report receiving one if you have.

      Re: Sagem Wifi performance

lol - The Sagem 2304n has had a chequered history so far.

It is rated to 72mbps on the WiFi signal. I am no longer sure if there will be a firmware update to upgrade it to a full WiFi n router. The internal WiFi chip is rated as such.

There was mention some months ago that this was likely this month, but nothing has happened.

There was huge problems with the router and you should check to see if you have now got the latest firmware installed (5.14.6.1a4N). If you haven't then I trust that you should soon receive it. In the mean time disable the WiFi if you have an older firmware.

Mine stayed connected and once it had settled down with the firmware update, it seemed to be fine.

I've just bought a different router as it offers better facilities than Sky's, which suit my needs.
