Re: cannot connect to internet
i took it that no ip is assigned from the 0.0.0. in the ipconfig test. that doesnt mean that the conclusion is right :-)
dhcp is "on" in the router settings.
ip range (if im not mistaken in interpreting all this confusing data) is 2-254
again not sure what "LAN page" is referring to but information on lan is this
LAN Port
MAC Address F0:7D:68:18:E5:64
IP Address 192.168.0.1
DHCP On
IP Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
and
LAN IP SETUP
LAN TCP/IP Setup
IP Address 19216801
IP Subnet Mask: 255.255 .255 .0
Use Router as DHCP Server
Starting IP Address: 19216802
Ending IP Address: 1921680254
thanks again to everyone put their ideas forward.
anything else i could try?
oh just one more thing i remembered. just a while ago the laptop wouldnt connect to any network (after i messed with the settings to solve the current problems) i had to delete the list of preferred networks. after that it worked just fine again.

Re: cannot connect to internet
Your driver is out of date.
Here's the latest one. Download it and update via Device manager.
Hopefully this should resolve it.
