I've blocked partypoker & partycasino on mine, so I suspect that something else was the cause in comparison.

At least it all works now though.

Yeah I've had the keywords on for weeks now. The router locking up when performing a speedtest has been a bugbear, and something that I've had to avoid doing. This was especially so, since before the update, the router would lock once or twice a day regardless.

I don't see how it should affect the speed test sites, but it seems to.

I've just successfully run Speedtest.net, Speed.io and MyBroadbandSpeed.co.uk without any issue on any of them.

You would be better installing adblock+
having keywords enabled forces the router
to sniff all of your requests putting a large
      strain on the router

The less your router has to do the better your browsing experience will be

You may find if you have keywords and then the update that the same happens.

At least everyone knows the temp fix though.

Indeed, Adblock+ is installed anyway. Just was convenient at router level. But agree that it's best if it has to do as little as possible, other than routing packets!

      Re: Sagem F@ST 2304n - New Firmware 5.14.6.1a4N

Could I ask if anyone else has noticed any issues with streaming video content with the new firmware installed using the WiFi connection?

A member on the Sky Help Forum posted that she was having problems with BBC iPlayer. Today I was able to test this and the Sky Player.

Whilst both allow you to download the content first, I wanted to specifically see want the live streaming is like. They both keep pausing to cache more content.

I confirmed the experiment by using a wired connection and not changing anything else. All worked well under this method.

Whilst I know that the router is only 72mbps at the best and the WiFi g is not brilliant for streaming live video, it was noticeably worse than ever, even compared to the Sky Netgear DG934G router.

Rebooted the Sagem got the same results dial-up speeds so plugged my Netgear back in to this : Namesco BroadbandMax Bandwidth speedtest | Test your ADSL connection speed

Date of Speed Test: 2011-05-31 01:28:43
Download Speed: 4240 kbps (530 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 660 kbps (82.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

I did try their firmware fix but for me its just not working as well as my Netgear.

      Hi Scubbie,

I just tested this on the new firmware streaming BBC HD using iPlayer on my desktop and also streaming Sky Player on my laptop both over WiFi at the same time and they both run perfectly without any buffering at all.
