      Sky Router as Wireless Bridge

I'm currently using a Netgear DG834G as the main router on Sky Broadband and was just wondering if it would be possible to use the 'official' Sky Sagemcom router as a wireless bridge?

We have a Sky+HD box downstairs along with an old Xbox 360 (used as a media player) and as we currently have no wired Ethernet connections downstairs I was wondering if I could get the Sagemcom to connect up to the Netgear using Wi-Fi then send the signal to the Sky box/Xbox 360 through Ethernet cables.

Without custom firmware, the two routers won't connect wirelessly.

Your best bet is to link the two routers with either a long Ethernet cable or a pair of HomePlugs.

See the guide in the thread below for how to get them to talk to each other:

      Thanks for your reply.

I think I'll have to see about wiring up some Ethernet ports in the living room.

I don't fancy buying those HomePlugs just in case they don't work as our house is 75 years old and have no idea when it was rewired last.
