Sagemcom C8CD firmware updates should be happening now
If you're on version 5.12.4a4n or 5.14.6a4N you haven't been upgraded yet.
5.14.6.1 is apparently the new version.
Best way to ensure you get the update is to disable WiFi on router so it doesn't lock up
New sagemcoms with mac address beginning 7C should be going out with latest firmware.

Re: Sagemcom C8CD firmware updates should be happening now
Don't tell the local authorities!
I don't believe that they have Sky BB in Prison.
Looking at a post on the Sky Help Forum, this does seem to be the likely method.
It has been mentioned that potentially around 20,000 people might receive the upgrade each time, starting today/tonight.
So for everyone with a Sagem, please disable your WiFi and connect it to the Internet. If you need WiFi, piggyback another router (see the guide in the section 'Asking for Help') and manage this way.
Since the updates are likely to be staggered, any information will be useful for everyone if you have received it.

Update to customers experiencing wireless stability issues with Sagemcom F@ST 2304N routers
on 20-05-2011 07:19 PM
We are rolling out a firmware upgrade to customers affected by wireless stability issues on Sagemcom F@ST 2304N routers. The rollout will be completed in about 4 weeks and we will issue a further update when it has been completed.
Please can you make sure that your router is kept switched on over the next 4 weeks to allow it to receive the update.
You may notice a period of about 10 minutes when you are unable to access the internet, please don’t switch the router off when this happens as it may be going through the upgrade.
We thank you for your patience and we’re sorry for any inconvenience that this issue has caused.

Re: Sagemcom C8CD firmware updates should be happening now
I too have recieved this updated firmware, I was asked to test it but they didnt inform me it had been done, so not sure when I actually got it, but anyway
New Firmware 5.14.6.1a4N
I noticed 2 days ago, I have been hammering my wifi ever since, torrents on wired, & streaming video over wifi for the last 2 days (as well as usual internet use on bothe machines) with no problems what so ever
Although they have turned my speed down again.

Anyway after they announced it I posted on the Sky forum that I got the update & it worked, & they have removed my comment & told me off for posting about it 'cuz I agreed not to post anything!Last edited by Ssscrudddy; 21-05-11 at 02:40 PM.
