      There is also an alternative, you could use the 2340n as the main connection into the house and turn the netgear into a wireless access point.

      I done this with a non Sky DG834GT and it works a treat.

      All you need to do is to assign the DG834GT a new IP address in the same IP range as the 2340n.

      Turn OFF DCHP on the DG834GT and connect one to the other up with an ethernet cable

      Turn off the 2340n wi-fi and configure the wireless on the netgear.
      I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

      What happened to the 63 hours difference? Looking good otherwise, have you got many wireless devices connecting to the router and are you just using the standard firmware that was pre installed?

      Any idea when we will see the firmware update for the 2304n?

      Im not sure where the wifi hours went but never had a loss of connectivity while using a laptop,ipad,iphone,PS3 or a Dell Streak.
      Same firmware as before 5.14.6a4N
      On another note replacement router arrived another 2304n
      Plugged it in got around 45 mins browsing and it conked out another switch off/on to get it going again.

      It is up to you. Personally I would suggest that you extract the Sky BB log in details from the router immediately. Save them to a Notepad file and keep them safe.

      It might then be a good idea to try the new Sagem 2304n router to see if it works well. Keep the other router set up & to hand. Should the Sagem go wrong, you have a backup router available.

      What other settings do I need for the non Sky DG834GT apart from username/password?
      VPI= 0
      VCI= 38
      Encapsulation= PPPoA VC-Mux (if this fails try PPPoA LLC)

      Only thing I've heard regarding firmware is that it's "being tested".

      This probably means that there will be a staggered rollout, as with previous firmware updates. Usually they do a few thousand at a time to test the water, and then a big rollout for everyone.

      Re: Sagemcom F@ST 2304n Information

      Weird this second router is worse than the first cant connect wireless on/off needed.Connected but no internet etc etc.
      So i get the user/pass from it when i did get on the internet and plugged my Netgear in.But before i had the chance to enter the settings it connected to the internet straight away
      It still had the user/pass i had entered from the first sagem router i was sent.With these settings the Netgear wouldnt connect but its all working now so its definetly staying plugged in now
