      Hi Scubbie

My Wam Mac is blank, nothing in that field.

Not sure if its because i have a version 5 router or my firmware?

Brand new one received yesterday., i noticed you repied to my other post but confused regarding hex dec etc on the wan mac?

The version of firmware that you have is the same as my own. It could well be that it isn't showing purely because when you are accessing the page, the router is not connected.

As Tom has indicated in the other thread, it does not seem that you need to spoof the MAC address, but if you'd like to post the last two digits only, then perhaps someone can advise you what you should replace them with. Please DO NOT post the whole MAC address for your own security.

      Re: Sagemcom F@ST 2304n Information

Just got my router today through the post as my broadband is due to go live on the 11/05/11 and guess what I got?

I have bought a Sky 2nd hand DG834GT as a backup until they update the firmware on the 2304n.

I may have asked this before but should I use the 2304n during the 10 day training period or just stick the DG834GT in instead as I don't want to mess up my connection during my training period by swapping routers around etc etc

I only use my main desktop PC wired at the moment with a trusty non Sky DG834GT and I will be using my Sky+HD box wired eventually for Anytime+ too. The rest of my things such as PS3, 2 x iPhone 4's and 1 laptop are all using wireless so I am really concerned about the issues people are currently facing with this router hence the purchase of a Sky DG834GT.

Also is there a temporary fix/workaround out there at the moment for the 2304n?

      0c + 2 in hexadecimal is 0e.

So your WAN MAC address will end in 0e.

I tried to use mine for the 10 days training but no internet and no wireless forced me to use my Netgear.Ive got another router on the way so will see what i get this time.I have plugged the sagem back in again and it does seem better after i changed the channel number from auto to 6 ( try inssider) and changed the mode from auto too auto 54g so you could try that first.

      A Netgear DGND3700? (I wish!)

It actually doesn't matter which router you have connected during the DLM period. The only things you need to be aware of are:

      * it is connected and plugged in as long as reasonably possible, especially at night when the DLM process calculates the connection speed

      * using the master socket is the best place

      * using the short grey cable is a good solution, never use a home-made extension for the ADSL lead

      * micro-filters must be the first item plugged into the telephone socket, even before the Sky STB

So long as the router hasn't been blocked, which is rare, it should be fine.

There are various tips & tricks. They range from turning off the WiFi to changing the Firmware. Unfortunately none of them resolve the problem.

      Re: Sagemcom F@ST 2304n Information

Thanks for the advice guys but as Scubbie said none of the workarounds resolve the issues.

So the BIG question is if you were me Scubbie would you use the 2304n or the Netgear DG834GT initially until they release a new update for the 2304n?

I also have a non Sky DG834GT which I use at the moment which is already set up so I would just need to extract my username and password form either the Sky 2304n or Sky DG834GT (I bought the Sky one just incase Sky got funny about using my own so I could swap it over)

What other settings do I need for the non Sky DG834GT apart from username/password?

      Cheers

Worked for me at least until whatever they send arrives.
