Well my replacement router is still showing as being processed, even though it was ordered on Monday. Doubt it will be here before the weekend now.

Quality service this from Sky. Wonder if I'll see any compensation for the money they have cost me?

Guess I'll be junking them before they even got started

Difficult to quantify as I've had to travel to jobs instead of doing them online. Its not much, but its more the principle.
Once they know they have a faulty batch of routers, why haven't they got a process for replacing them by same day courier to affected customers?

      hi jonny....
Look through my posts regarding this router / sky delivery times ect...
Yes i go off on one...or two..
yes they took 2 wks to deliver new router
yes it was another sagcom 2304
      but....

new sagecom plug it in, does a firmware update - ALL ISSUES RESOLVED.
slightly higher speeds up/down than with my old speedtouch 585.

if DLM leaves your speed lower than YOU expected ( considering - distance from exchange / line condition ect ) , just phone them up, and hope to god you get some one with a bit of sence, that will try and ramp up your speed as you as on the phone to them..
      I got final DLM sync of 11.250 - after phone call - 18.200(down) 1115(up)
I WAS the exact same as you m8....sod this and that...but the wait IS WORTH IT
Eps if you been stuck on an 8meg connection for yrs

      hang in there ....

You will have no joy there, Sky broadband is a domestic service and their T & Cs specifically ban business use. What they will and have done is compensate you for the cost of any phone calls you have made in relation to your problem, usually by credit to your account, or reduction in charges for a specific period.

Re: Sagemcom 2304 piece of CRAP !

Is anyone able to write a step by step guide to carrying out the firmware recovery and getting this new firmware flashed into the 2304?

I had one of these sent to me recently when the power supply plug on my Netgear 834GT went wrong, usual story of lost wi-fi and freezing so I got another power supply and went back to my Netgear.

If this new firmware sorts out the problem then I would give it another go as the 2304 was connecting 600kbps faster downstream than the Netgear !!

Firmware restore won't resolve the freezing issue. The router is faulty.

      Sky Fail.
No router and won't be with me until Thursday at the earliest.
It seems obvious to me that they don't have enough routers to give to customers.
Customer complaint email has been sent and now I'm off to see who can actually give me some service

ha ha ha, what a bunch of complete losers Sky broadband are.
No router arrival today so the earliest it can be with me is Tuesday now. Leaving me without service for over 2 weeks.
      What a complete joke.

oh and I see DLM has started on my line 8 days ago. Excellent. I can look forward to having to deal with all that when my router eventually arrives then.
