Unhappy OMGoodness someone please help ... doh!

WoW this site is awesome, I have spent the last 5 hours scouring the threads looking for some help with my problem but I can't seem to find my answer!
So if any of you lovely people out there have any suggestions I would be so so grateful

I have just activated my sky broadband unlimited and have the sagem fast 2304 router (which appears to not be so popular). I do have internet connection which is brilliant however my problem lies with my high dependancy on my Vodafone sure signal box! This worked absolutely fine on my last router which was with talk talk, I just plugged it into lan 2 and bobs your uncle!
However with this sagem router its doing absolutely nothing and I just wanna cry
I have set up myself a static ip address and followed all the intructions on here for the port forwarding but with no avail
Please is anyone able to help me???
      Thanks in advance

It should really work with UPnP. Reset your router by pushing a pin in the reset hole till the tick light flashes. Go into the settings and check that UPnP is enabled, it should be by default. Advanced>UPnP.

If that does not work, download this application and use it to open the following ports. 50,123,500 and 4500.
Simple Port Forwarding | Simple Port Forwarding
It is by far the easiest way to open ports on your router. Use the F@st 2504 setting and it should work.

This assumes you are using Windows, if you are using Linux or a Mac, I don't really know.

Did manually opening up the ports work for you? I have a 2304 router which is connecting by PPPoA (so no MER potential issues) and my Sure Signal box isn't connecting.

No it's a 90.x.x.x address so it's not the 2.x.x.x address range issue
