Re: Homefront game and Sagem Router
You don't have to be using a console to make use of a Gamer profile if that's what you think. It will benefit PC gaming as well. This will make no difference to your ability to connect to the game, only improve your speed when you are there.

Re: Homefront game and Sagem Router
I'll give the "gamer profile" a try but it sounds like something i use already for gameplay online Fusion Utility for Desktops
it's not the speed i'm after as far as i can see from other online games that i play
the games i play online:
Bad Company 2 (Killercreation.co.uk server)
Test Drive Unlimited 2 (TDU2 server)
Left 4 Dead 2 (our own server box with Killercreation.co.uk)
these all seem 'sound' for the speed/connection.
Anyhow the server files will be released hopefully this week so i'll be able to test it on our own clan server and also when the clan member (think he's also on sky) gets back from the lakes i'll be able to ask him what his setup is like

Re: Homefront game and Sagem Router
The Fusion product optimises your PC, the Gamer profile or getting your Delay reduced, optimises your actual connection. It will help if you have a chat with the other Sky user, hopefully he is not having the same problems you are

Re: Homefront game and Sagem Router
looks like it's to do with the router and there still not been a patch yet... 1 clan member on BT homehub changed his router and it works, and 1 clan member on SKY changed his router and it works.
So, like i thought at the beginning... it's the routers that are pants!

Re: Homefront game and Sagem Router
Check the type of router that your clan member has.
The older sky routers are much better than the one that you currently have. Assuming that you have either the F@ST 2304n or F@ST 2305n
You may still benefit from being on a gamer profile though.Links Router Stats Useful Tutorials Speed Test Check For Test Socket Repetitive Electrical Impulse Noise

Re: Homefront game and Sagem Router
well it looks like it was the router
i been in to town and got a Netgear N150 (DGN1000-100UK) and it logs onto the game server straight away without "connection to host lost". Will be testing it more through-out the day just to see if it wasnt a one off thing
cheers for everyones help and i really hope this is sorted now
