      Might as well connect it and see if the internet light goes green.

      Not sure on the full specs, think there is a firmware upgrade to come to make them full N

      At the moment all that is known about this router is:

      * it isn't a proper WiFi n class router (no WiFi n certificate issued)
      * max WiFi speed is 72mbps (WiFi n require a minimum of 150mbps)
      * the range is better than WiFi g, but not as good as WiFi n
      * standard 4 * 100mbps ports
      * connecting a Sky+ or Sky+ HD STB to the Green port will improve Anytime+ access, but any of the 4 ports can be used
      * the aerial is built in, so there is no chance that you can fit your own larger aerial to increase the range

      Finally, there have been a lot of faulty routers returned recently by various members. I would highly recommend that you extract the password & username from the router in case you wish to connect your own router to Sky BB.

      There is now a firmware fix for the 2504n, dont know if it is on the website but we can walk people through it if they call.

      Think there is also a known issue with windows vista and the 2304n

      Don't you hate it when they change things all over again?

      You'll need to read the blurb that arrive with the new router since they've changed the colour coding for that one. In truth it doesn't really matter a huge amount though.

      With regards to the Switch, there should be no issue. What it boils down to is that they are all 10/100mbps LAN ports. The type of traffic expected from the Sky+/Sky+ HD STBs is prioritised in one of the ports, but it does not mean it won't work when connected elsewhere (i.e. in a switch or on another port).

      TBH, I wouldn't have designed the router like that, there are other ways to prioritise traffic without dedicating a specific port on other routers.

      Personally my Sky+ HD STB is connected directly to a Switch. This in turn is directly connected to the Sky Router. Previously it was connected via the switch to my own router. Anytime+ works just fine, unless I have a lot of traffic on the upload.

      just read the blurb lol. Theres no mention of colour markings at all! So will have to wait n see wat the point of the blue port is.
      Thank u for your advice.

      You would have though someone would have thought QOS for prioritising.
