Sky N class Modem Router
Hello everyone
Can anyone tell me if Sky are any nearer introducing their N class modem-router, it seems a long time since it was said they were trialing one with some of their staff and nothing seems to have been said since.

Re: Sky N class Modem Router
There are two routers that Sky have appended with the 'n' letter.
2304n & 2504N
The 2304n isn't fully WiFi compatible. It's top WiFi speed is around 72mbps. this is somewhat short of the 150mbps minimum. It also does not have a WiFi n certificate, only WiFi b & g. Design wise it follows the Sky HD & Sky+ HD styling.
The 2504N does have a WiFi n certificate (also b & g) but currently we have no further information on the specifications.
There are reports that some members have received this 2nd router in the last few days, but no pictures available as yet.
PlusNet Fibre since Jan 2021
Previously Sky Fibre & Sky BB since 2010.

Re: Sky N class Modem Router
Think that its only N lite (72Mb) at the minute. there is apparently a firmware upgrade to come to make it full N 300Mb.

Re: Sky N class Modem Router
Does anyone know what the wifi chip is in this router yet? Or have any pictures of the motherboard?
I know its Broadcom based but thats it and I dont really want to take mine apart as I would break it knowing my luck! lol
On another note it has been rock solid since I was activated so guess I was lucky especially after reading the problems some people are experiencing with it.

Re: Sky N class Modem Router
I'd be interested to know if the cd that came with the new Sagem router contains a newer version of the d-link firmware, than the version supplied on the cd with the d-link. If included, it would probably be in the \Utilities\DLink\img\ directory and called recover.img
The recover.img I have is
size = 3.66 MB (3,847,496 bytes)
date modified= 20 May 2010, 11:44:52
Chances are, if included, it will be the same version, but if not, I'd like to get hold of a copy.

Re: Sky N class Modem Router
I have checked on the Sky Broadband v5 CD and it only has the recovery utility and image for the Sagem F@ST 2304N and none of the others like the v4 CD did.
