Now you are beginning to sound like a certain deadman.

The source code is available here -

      Re: Problems with Sagem Router

      Hello

First time poster and apologies for crashing this thread but we've just received a Sagemcom f@st 2304 router as well but we're having a slightly different issue with it.

Unlike others on this thread, the router itself seems stable and works well - except that wifi strength is atrocious - I get only 4 bars (out of 5) when my laptop is right next to the router and my iPhone 4 only gets 1 bar!

I've played with the wifi settings and nothing makes any difference - it's so bad I've had to reinstate our old BT hub as an access point!

Anyone seen similar issues? It looks like te firmware updated automatically as per another comment on a different thread.

      TIA

      Chris

      Re: Problems with Sagem Router

The Sky Router is WiFi g, whereas the BT HomeHub 2 is WiFi n.

The issue is very common, hence there are a lot of posts on the topic and running old routers to extend the WiFi coverage is a frequent issue.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

Thanks for the reply - does this mean the router is "ok" then or is it actually faulty? As I say, the wifi strength is so poor as to be unusable...

      It's quite usable.

Might I suggest that a new thread would be better to go into more detail. Particularly for the iPhone 4.

What have you done? Have you changed the channel? Have you used Innsider(link below) to discover the channels in use in your area? Have you tried the same channel as your Hub? It is probably 7 if you haven't changed it. BT Hubs seem to be set to use maximum power, which is why they interfere so much with other's networks.
