Connection Keeps Dropping - Please Help

Hi guys - I'm completely new to this and was wondering if someone could take a look at these stats and let me know if there is anything that might explain why my connection drops 10-15 times per day:

      System Up Time: 0:14:53
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 21913 25226 0 0 0 0:31:53
      LAN 12483 14284 0 0 0 0:32:53
      WLAN 36138 27108 0 0 0 0:32:28
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8191 kbps 796 kbps
Line Attenuation 37.0 db 18.8 db
Noise Margin 14.8 db 11.5 db

I've tried Sky support but after sitting on the line holding for service for 20 minutes they merely instructed me to check my filters, move the router onto the main socket, etc (all things I've done repeatedly).

      Its a Sagem router.

      Thanks in advance

There is one anomaly in your stats, your System up time is lower than your LAN times. This is not really possible, so it suggests to me your router may be failing, or simply the PSU is not providing the correct current for it to operate properly. If you have another PSU(the little box that plugs into the wall) try it and see if there is any difference. If you have another router, you could try that. In situations like these Sky will normally replace your router as the first step, but they may want to charge you.

You have a high noise margin but that is probably caused by the continual drop outs. When the drop outs are fixed that can be adjusted to give you a speed increase.
