I was just wondering if there was anyway to boost the wireless signal strength of the D-Link router. I do have a Buffalo router which has a airel on it, that I could try and see if the signal is any stronger on that.

The UK is different from most other countries in that wi-fi boxes are limited to the ERP (Effective Radiated Power) of the antenna. Since all boxes have to comply with this regulation, then there is little to choose between the various makes. Boosting the signal would mean breaking the law, and it's against forum rules to discuss illegal activities.

All you can really do (legally) is to re-site the box to give the best signal coverage, or do as I've done - have two wireless access points in different places. These can both share the same channel.

I do have a Buffalo router which has a airel on it,
Plug it in and try it. It does not have to be connected to the phone line to get a wireless signal. If it is better, you can piggy back it on to the Sky router quite easily.

Yes, provided they are connected by an ethernet cable or homeplugs.
