      New Sky sagecom F@ST3304N router

I got a replacement sky router today to replace my busted sagem and this one arrived. Seams to be a completely new model and it is N rated. Does anyone else have this one?

      Thanks

Oops should read F@ST2304N not F@ST3304N

The sagems have had a facelift recently, but I was under the impression that nothing has changed apart from the actual look of the router itself.

I thought it was just a facelift to the case but then I noticed the box it came in said F@ST2304 but the old sagem is F@ST2504. I then noticed that the box said it was Version 5 and that it was IEEE 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n. Which is as I Think is the first one to be N capable.

Also the firmware is listed as 5.14.6a4N. And I cannot find it listed on here or anywhere else as a firmware.

Interesting - I remember reading a brief about this a couple of weeks back, but as far as I remember, it didn't say anything about new specs.

I'll see if I can get confirmation and fire in an update to this thread this weekend when I'm next in work.

Just had my router through today, exactly the same for myself; Sagemcom F@ST2304, couldn't find anything out about it on Google. The firmware options do mention N in automatic mode. I would appreciate it if someone could dig out some specs or find out key differences (if any) from the F@ST2504, I would be happy to assist with this.

Annoyingly can't get the 2504 to do wireless bridging, I've got a Netgear DG834GT running custom firmware from DGTeam but the Sky router doesn't seem to have the options available to support it, I'm trying Repeater with Wireless Client Association now with no luck either :-S Perhaps it's a little ambitious to try this with WPA2 though.

PS: I'm unclear as to wherever anyone managed to crack the ST2504 to get the username and passwords out for the ADSL, if someone can point me in the right direction I'll see if those cracks work with the 2304.

Be good to know if it is gigabit too.

Re: New Sky sagecom F@ST3304N router

Now I have had time to play arround a little with this router I can confirm that it is def N rated. Still need to check to see if it is gigabit or not but nice to know that Sky now have a N rated router. Signal seams stronger that I used to get on any G rated router that I have used both Sky and non Sky.

Only time will tell about stability though.

Re: New Sky sagecom F@ST3304N router

Definitely is N. Afraid I don't have any Gigabit adapters with which to test the wired connection with :-S Might be though, one of Ethernet ports on the reverse is highlighted in a contrasting colour which makes me wonder
