D-Link DSL-2640S Firewall
Hi
I had the Netgear DG934G router, after having some issue which were not Router related, Sky sent me a D-Link DSL-2640S. At the time I couldn't control the Firewall on the D-Link DSL-2640S effectively so had to revert to the Netgear - I have a NAS and wanted to block all outgoing traffic apart from NTP so I set a block all to the NAS as a drop rule - last in rule base and an allow for NTP before the drop rule - see attached pic - but it would either block all or allow all depending on its mood it seemed. I also had problems with UPnP for the Xbox's in my household
Has anyone else come across the Flakey Firewall on the D-Link
Reason I ask is my Netgear is starting to play up and I may have to move back to the D-Link
I also see there is a Firmware upgrade released, is there a way I can force an upgrade

Re: D-Link DSL-2640S Firewall
There is new firmware being rolled out for the Dlinks, this could be one of the things it fixes.

Re: D-Link DSL-2640S Firewall
Sorry, I meant I was interested too in finding out if there's a way to force the upgrade since I am having issues with my router too.
