DG934G flash problem
Hi,
I have just flashed the netgear 934 that i have as a spare router, it flashed fine, and is now running the official netgear firmware...
before flashing i extracted the username and password.
i have entered these into the username and password fields as required, but the router just will not connect to the web, i do not get a green light at the front only an amber one...
I have typed the mac and serial again into the site that generates the details, copy'd and paste directly into the username and password fields and still it will not give me a green light..
whats happended ? lol any help would be great, luckily i have a sagem and dlink as back ups so can get online fine, i wanted to use the netgear as it seems to sync at a much better speed then both the sagem and dlink routers do.

Re: DG934G flash problem
That means the radius server is rejecting your username/password
That can happen even with valid login details if the radius server didn't detect your last disconnection (stale session). Its a bit of a long shot, but you could make a few attempts to connect using the test login which should clear a stale session (even if they fail), then try the valid detais again, but I would have thought that using another router would have cleared it, although maybe not due to the different wan MAC code.
Test login:-
user name = bt_test@startup_domain
password = cityhall

Re: DG934G flash problem
thanks,
I think its bricked, i decided to try and flash it back to the sky firmware, but when i press the reset button and power up to get it into recovery mode, every light on the router flashes, including the ethernet lights it looks like a set of christmas tree lights lol
Iam guessing the original flash bricked the router lol unless someone can tell me different ?

Re: DG934G flash problem
i used the website on here that tells you the user name and pasword.
downloaded the netgear recovery thing from the netgear site, and the netgear v3 firmware, i did follow the links on here yes.
flashed it after having to install the ms loop back adapter, seemed fine, tested the flash fine, but wont get past the CHAP thing, and when i try and re-flash it back to the sky firmware it no longer enters the flash recovery mode (two lights flashing) so my guess is that its buggered.
good job ive got a working dlink, and working sagem to fall back on, the thing that sucks is the netgear used to sync around 500kbps faster then both the dlink or sagem do.
never mind
