      Dont get this, if you spoof the MAC, how can the router authenticate without username/password, or does MER authenticate with both (MAC and USERNAME)?

      It appears that it still needs the username and password to authenticate with the Sky servers and be allocated an IP address. This is what sets it aside from the normal MER, which does not need these details. It has been proved that entering the IP manually will work until the servers change the IP, when it then disconnects.
