Router Really Slow
Hey, I have been using a Netgear DG834GT Router From Sky and It has been working well, but recently It has been going really slow I used to connect it to my Xbox 360 And PS3 Fine, I havent moved anything and now the connection on both of them might aswell be offline. Also The connection to the computer which has the router right next to it,plugged in has been really slow too. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Also the Router Firmware is V1.03.87
DownStream Connection Speed 8191 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 796 kbps.

Re: Router Really Slow
Nothing too slow about your connection speed, it is possibly your PC which is causing the problem. Start in Safe Mode with Networking and do a speedtest at Sky User - Broadband Speed Tester Report back with the result, mentioning the OS you are using.
Unless you have made special arrangements, you are not on Connect.

Re: Router Really Slow
Starting in Safe Mode should determine whether it is actually needed, but everyone should run something like this at least a couple of times a month. Unless you have Mac, where trojans dare not tread.

Re: Router Really Slow
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8191 kbps 796 kbps
Line Attenuation 42.5 db 26.0 db
Noise Margin 14.7 db 9.5 db
Sorry for being slow with the reply, I have been doing things.
I am Using Windows XP, And I already Have Malwarebytes and scan with it reguarly. Also Im pretty sure its not the computer because on my Phone/Xbox 360/PS3 It is Slow Also.
But after I posted it was suddenly faster again, but now its slow again.
Also I am not sure what package Im on and Sky Test gives me Error 200, but sometimes its error code 300.
Also, I am using AVG, and WAS using ZoneAlarm but it slowed down my computer, so now im using Windows Defender.

Re: Router Really Slow
That would suggest loss of IP - either due to exchange issue or line/router issue...
You're also capped, you should be on about 10Mbps going by those stats-------------------------------------------
