Re: Sagem Firmware 2.6 upgrade?
The new firmware includes WPA2.
It was a nuisance to find that the firmware had been upgraded overnight totally without warning, with all router settings reverted to defaults, but really good news to have WPA2.JPL

Anyone who has a Sagem which has not been updated should save their settings in preparation for it. In fact on the assumption that the Netgears may be done soon, those users should save their settings, especially if they have portforwarding etc set up.

They don't need to give warning - they own the SW and it's in the T&Cs they can update it, doesn't mention giving notice. I know that's not the point, though

Re: Sagem Firmware 2.6 upgrade?
I compared backups of the router config before and after the firmware upgrade, and the only notable changes were related to WPA/WPA2. It took a while to go through the settings on each tab, though, and make sure all were as required.

Re: Sagem Firmware 2.6 upgrade?
There's a good 100,000 upgrades going on this weekend, I believe. I can't remember the briefing exactly, however. It changes the error code 100/200/300 on the sky test to different return codes if I remember correctly.

Re: Sagem Firmware 2.6 upgrade?
This will be Sky's chance to find out quite easily who is not using a Sky router.

Re: Sagem Firmware 2.6 upgrade?
Is it possible that this may cause problems connecting? Over the weekend my Sagem router went from a rock solid connection for months, to disconnecting very regularly.
I've already spoken to Sky (several times), done all the tests including at the test socket, and we have narrowed it down to either the router or the line. They have done line tests from Sky and said they didn't find anything, but are sending out an engineer tomorrow as apparently the actual line length I have doesn't tally with what their software tested?
The alternative, apparently, is to pay for a new router.
