I have tried the link in Digital Spy for 48 hours now, And have had no problems since! The only thing I have noticed is that on my stats the WAN uptime has been reset ie. when I check before going to work its 16 hours +, When I come back its 7 hours.
although we have not experienced anys dropouts, Does the counter reset after 24 hours?
I have noticed that on 'Rush Hours' my NM will not drop below 10db which must be why the connection is stable.

Do the problems with wireless connections that are potentially fixed by the changes discussed here result in loss of functionality on the wired connections, including the router admin pages? That's what's happening to me.
Two distinct problems. One is that the wireless connections have occasionally slowed to a crawl (a few kB/s) - I didn't check what was wrong when this happened, will do if it occurs again - and the other is when the router just seems to lock-up completely and plugging in a wire doesn't get me access to the internet or the router pages to see what may have gone wrong. This happens when my noise margin is around the 9dB mark (line attenuation is fine at 27/17dB). I don't want to turn off UPnP, and I know that someone close by uses channel 6, but I'll try setting it to Auto anyway.
Speed test (www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk as well as others) give me a little over 4Mb/0.5Mb which of course isn't too close to my sync rate of 15.5/0.77Mb but I'd be perfectly happy with it if I didn't have these problems (my 8Mb line with Nildram gave me very similar speeds, though sometimes faster).
Dan.

I have also been getting the slowness/disconnects/you have to reboot problems after 2 days with SKY...
Using the URL injection to get you userid/password I have successfully connected my old netgear router to SKY and its working fine as i type this..
I'll let you know how I get on, and see if I have to reboot anymore...

Well I just had to reconnect, and im using my old router...
The disconnections that people are seeing must be happening at the Sky end...

after trying the tweaks and fixes on this forum, i found things were better for quite a while but then they seemed to fall off again. started getting slower and not connecting ( you know what i mean) so i tried the url fix on digital spy and so far (over 24hrs now) things seem pretty stable. my NM is higher and stable through out the day at 13.4is/ 14.2ish. my connection speed has dropped to 13492 from 15000ish but i can quite happily live with that so long as it remains stable, my download speed test came back with 7.2mbps (thats ok for a tenner a month) hopefully things will be ok now.
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 13492 kbps 766 kbps
Line Attenuation 20.5 db 11.4 db
Noise Margin 13.4 db 14.2 db
