      sky Q and headphones/speakers

I am about to upgrade to SkyQ as my old box is beginning to fail with iffy picture and poor sound.

The only question/problem I have is that I need to use external speakers/headphones and it looks to me as though none of the Q boxes support them directly.

      1) have I missed something
      2) I assume I will need a DAC converter like https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00KNNSKV0/ref=dp_cerb_1 to interface the only audio output from the Q box to my powered speaker/headphones
      3) My TV/Monitor does NOT have any outputs at all.
      Thanks in advance
      Dave

The item you have listed will definitely do the job. I take it you just want stereo rather than full digital surround sound? In which case you would normally connect the optical or HDMI cable direct to an AV amp.
      Hope this helps.

Yes I just want the speakers/headphones.
I am a little hard of hearing and need the use of headphones at night when the rest of the house have gone to bed. My powered speakers have a lot better sound quality than my TV which was actually bought as a 1920x1080p PC monitor many years ago and is used as such (though current SKY only supports a lower quality and gets upscaled)
I'm not interested in surround sound.
