      Q plug in adaptor

Can some kind soul tell me the function of this adaptor.

My flat has a communal system with the usual 4 LNB feeds going to switches which then feed the apartments.

My HD box has two aerial inputs and a friend in another block says he only has one input to his Q box.

A link to details about the plug in adaptor would be really helpful as the Sky site has no info other than 'leave it to us to decide'.

      Thanks

      Re: Q plug in adaptor

The plug in adapter should have been installed by the TV installer. - https://communaltv.sky.com/property-managers/

      |Not certain, but I think it is to allow the full service through one cable, instead of two.

      Re: Q plug in adaptor

That is exactly what it is for, we have one in our own house, looks like the OP’s setup has the adapter somewhere in the communal area. Provided the OP’s flat is connected to the right output on the adapter Sky Q should work with one cable if the box is set to single cable mode. I say should because we have issues with signal loss which everyone involved with the installation blames on something someone else did. Thanks for posting that link I found the specification document so I’ll get someone to test the installation against those specs,
