Weird Problem
Had Sky Q installed today - 2TB box and one mini box. The boxes are working fine but I've noticed something weird with my wifi - like when browsing the internet on my ipad.
Generally it seems to be working, I've done a speed test and that comes out good as expected.
But web access to certain sites seems to be blocked. Not blocked in that I get an access denied message but block in that the page never finishes loading.
Two examples are BBC and Youtube.
Stranger is that when I try accessing these from my PC with a wired connection they work fine. Just seems to be a WiFi issue.
My wife's iPad is showing the same problem.
And it is not that the WiFi is down, because other sites and speed test can me accessed without problem.
The mini isn't being used at the time.
Anyone else seen this.
I've no reason to point the finger at Sky Q other than that is the thing that has changed.
Cheers,
Nigel

Re: Weird Problem
Did some more testing, definitely related to the introduction of Sky Q PVRs - not the Hub as I have been using that without problem for the past week.
I could repeat the following
Sky Q 2TB box powered on - BBC and YouTube do not work
Sky Q 2TB box powered off - BBC and YouTube work fine
Not a problem wired and also does not appear to be a problem with Android and Windows on WiFi so somehow related to Apple IOS.
Did some more research and I have found the source of the problem. It is a conflict in the way that Sky and Apple have implemented IPv6. Not sure who is in the wrong but if you go into the Sky Hub LAN settings you will see that IPv6 is enabled by default on the LAN Side. If you disable IPv6 on the LAN side then everything appears to work fine.
Cheers,
Nigel

Re: Weird Problem
Do you have any other devices in the middle? Specifically older (or cheap) switches, wifi boosters or powerline ethernet?
This sounds like a semi-known MTU issue with some LAN devices that can't handle >1500byte frames. The SkyQ STB meshes with the Q hub by adding an extra 14byte header. Disabling IPv6 can't help mask the problem, but the root cause is generally an older switch or something on the LAN that should be replaced.

Re: Weird Problem
I have the same problem with my Samsung J5 running android in that certain pages never finish loading. This only happens on certain sites not on all sites.
