Sky Q hdmi Dolby digital
My install is today
I have seen several post from a few weeks ago that suggest sending dd over hdmi can cause issues with the sky q silver box refusing to come out of standby and that an optical cable should be used for the dd
is this still the case or have sky fixed this ?------------------------------------------------------------------------

Still the case on mine at least. There has been no firmware update since launch.

The Sky Mini has no issue and behaves as expected, and regardless of settings.
So when the box is switched to standby, the TV with EC/HDMI switches back to TV mode (ie. Freeview).
I have tried all sorts of settings, like different screen resolutions, different HDMI Normal/Dolby Digital/Optical settings, and with optical cable connected. HDMI definitely goes down when the mini is placed in standby.
The Silver Box still does not behave the same way or as expected - the HDMI does not go down regardless of settings when the silver box is switched to standby. And so while in EC HDMI mode, we manually have to change the TV to TV mode (Freeview).
I am hopeful it is a software bug in the silver box, which can be fixed in an upcoming firmware release.
