Sky Q Hub Keeps Dropping Out, Anyone else having this issue?

I have had Sky Q silver with hub for about 2 weeks now and though I'm happy with it I keep having internet drop out! And have to keep re-booting the box, no option on the box for that and have to turn off and back on..

I heard this is presently a common fault, is this true?

      Regards,
      Paul..

Do you mean the connection between the Q and hub (wifi) drops or your internet connection?

Is it plugged into the master socket and has the faceplate any extensions running off it?

Try plugging the router into the test socket.

I dont have Sky Q however (this will no doubt still apply) turn off IPV6 DHCP... I've had to on my sky fibre sr102. Devices suddenly jumped to IPV6 (if it was enabled) and then its game over. IPV6 cannot talk to V4..

Please stop telling people to disable IPv6, it's almost never necessary.
Sky are enabling dual stack, which means you'll have both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. If for whatever reason IPv6 isn't working, IPv4 should be used. Only in a very small set of circumstances, when an application has bad behaviour, might you see an issue. And then it's not IPv6's fault, nor Sky's, it's the poor behaviour of an application.

IPV6 has no uses in a natted home environment. I've 3 firesticks then want to jump to V6 addressing off the cuff. Same with my laptop. All suddenly result in no internet access. Disabling V6 was the solution. I'm only talking from experience.

What a ridiculous statement. Will you be happy when you get moved to a CGN NAT444 setup when Sky run out of IPv4 addresses?

I find this hard to believe. If so, your Firesticks are broken, and Amazon should be pressured into fixing their IPv6 support.
Likewise for whatever application or O/S your laptop is running.

I'll move to V6 when sky move to V6. Dont see the point in doing so until that happens.

Has your line been enabled for IPv6 yet? Check here - Test your IPv6.

IPv4 and IPv6 will run side by side for several years to come.
