So I understand that with Sky Q there is just one HD in the Sky Q/Sky Q Silver box and the minis have no hard drive. All recordings are stored centrally making them available to all. Which is great but raised one other concern (not as major and its not not stopped me ordering It arrives on the 19th) but hoped some of you that have already got the system can answer.
My Parents live in the "Granny Flat' and currently have a second SkyHD+ box under my multiroom setup. So when they record things they are on their box and when I record its on mine. So when I know I've watched something I can delete it and they likewise

When Sky Q arrives they will have a Sky Q mini. It will store its recordings on my main Sky Q Silver HD.

Is there any way of knowing who recorded what ?
So we can only ever remove what we recorded and not someone else's recording. To be frank most of the time is obvious but there are a few programs we all like :-)

After using for a few days, I would say no. The Sky Q box stores all recordings wherever they are set from. You are able to download recordings to a tablet and watch on the tablet. You also have the "keep" facility as with Sky+. As there is only one Sky account that everything is registered to, it means that anyone linked to the box whether by Sky Q mini or tablet has access to everything in recordings. It does not say where the recording was set from.

There is a keep function, maybe you could use that in some way ?
