Sky begins transfers from Connect to LLU
It is apparant from some of the postings recently on here, Sky have now started moving people from Connect to an LLU based account. ie Base, Mid, Max.
If you are one of those lucky enough to be moved from Connect to LLU, please post in here, with before and after stats if possible, so we can compare.
Those of you waiting to be moved and currently paying £17.00 per month, why not ring Sky and try to get your subscription reduced to £5.00 per month whilst you wait?
Further info in this thread:

Re: Transfers from Connect to LLU
@NR
Please remove this and put it towards a "not possible" thread.
There is no clear understanding of "connect to LLU" and "not possible to go from connect to LLU" even from my limited experience of trying not to phone sky.
I tried again last week to sort out my issue about exchange (MRWAL- LLU since October06) after a near neighbour was provided with an LLU package (same exchange).
This is after arranging connect at £5 in January and following my bill for 1FEB07 arriving and showing for period 15FEB07-14MAR07 connect still at £17 with a "credit adjustment" of £10.
Eventually after an hour late at night and another hour the next day - I was phoned back by Broadband customer services to be told that - in trying to move me previously from connect to MAX someone had completely messed up my account and connection (initially 50kbps download speed for a week but had resumed at 6mbps) and they could not work out how I still had BB. It was not showing on their system and not on BT system. They said their supervisor had said the only way to deal with this is they disconnect me from system could take up to 15days and then and put in a new request to BT which would take 15days. The billing was wrong and it was not possible to get connect at £5. Apart from commenting that it did not take 30days to change gas supplier, I did not pursue this because I knew another day it would be another story.

Re: Transfers from Connect to LLU
Two people have posted today saying this is possible and are to confirm tonight.
The orders on the BT order checker are showing what we would expect, ie
Provide SMPF migration
Cease IPSTREAM
Which is what we would expect to see if this was happening.
I will wait till later on today, to see if it did in fact happen and if not will delete my post.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: Transfers from Connect to LLU - Awaiting confirmation
I have now been transferred over to LLU, happened on 8th of Feb according to the BT tracking site.
Description Product name Quantity Cost Rental
PROVIDE LLU LINE SHARE PSTN 1 £ 0.0 £ 0.0
CEASE BT IPSTREAM MAX 1 £ 0.0 £ 0.0
I didn't take any stats before they changed me over, if you need my new stats let me know.
Have to say it took a few emails of complaint and a final telephone call to CS to get this done, only believed it once the BT status had changed.
EDIT: Heres my stats
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4288 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 44.0 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 15.4 db 22.0 db

Re: Sky begins transfers from Connect to LLU
My line appears to have been changed over, an order for LLU line share PSTN and cease on BT IPstream max, this was completed on friday - 7th Feb.
It's weird cause previously I was connecting at 8128 kbps, since Friday I'm connecting at 8096 kbps, not alot of difference I know, but it shows something has changed with my connection.
Just awaiting any info as to what happens next - I def want to upgrade to 'Max'. Hopefully with my stats, I should get a fairly decent speed. Don't have any stats before but mine are now:
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8096 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 25.0 db 15.5 db
Noise Margin 9.7 db 19.0 db
From what I can remember, they havent really changed at all, noise margin is slightly higher.
It would be great if one of the mods here could contact Sky to see if they will give us any confirmation this is happening?

Re: Sky begins transfers from Connect to LLU
GSK can you copy and paste your BT order status that shows the order?
That will confirm it for us~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~
