I don't know but look out for Nadez, he/she is fantastic. If Nadez said they can't do nothing then they cant do nothing. Was talking to Nadez last night, he/she pointed out they could turn on IPv6 on my line with the tick of a button which he/she had access to and the only reason he/she did'nt is because his/her manager would not allow it.

Re: New IPv6 Trial for Sky Broadband & Sky Fibre
All the SR101 and SR102 routers were updated some time back to support IPv6. The latest firmware, from what I can tell, provides more support for IPv6.
If you have the previous version then you will be fine.
Of course it would be beneficial for everyone to be on the latest version.
Why have some been sent a new router and others not? I suspect that someone got a little worried in the call centre.
Nadya is one of the team who were brought across from the Be support team. She appears to be quite competent and the whole team are much more familiar with Fibre now than they were when they first came across.
PlusNet Fibre since Jan 2021
Previously Sky Fibre & Sky BB since 2010.

regarding CDN I discovered somethign itneresting a few weeks back. On html5 netflix the debuf information reveals what server is supplying the stream, I use opendns but regardless of that I was on a sky netflix CDN. I assume because they use the source ip instead of dns server to assign which CDN.

Re: New IPv6 Trial for Sky Broadband & Sky Fibre
Unfortunately at the end of the day it is not what customers want it is what the internet requires. If not as countries exhaust the IPv4 blocks they have been allocated strange things will start to happen with web addresses, like new local businesses having .tw domain names. Even worse would be websites that only have IPv6 addresses being inaccessible to Sky broadband customers.

Re: New IPv6 Trial for Sky Broadband & Sky Fibre
So, as we now know, Sky's IPv6 beta trial (allegedly) did not proceed due to lack of customer interest (!?)
Today we see some information about BT's plans to deploy IPv6 to 50% of their network by April 2016 and to the entire network by December 2016:

Re: New IPv6 Trial for Sky Broadband & Sky Fibre
With the number of complaints about drop outs on fibre with the latest firmware, it looks like they made a big mistake. I cannot believe they could not get enough customers to take part in the trial. I think that with the Sagem trial going so well they thought is was unnecessary, they were wrong.

Re: New IPv6 Trial for Sky Broadband & Sky Fibre
That article has been updated since yesterday:
"UPDATE 24th September 2015
Sky has just confirmed to us that they currently have over 1 million staff and customers live on their IPv6 trial and will continue to test it over the course of this year, although they are NOT yet enabling it by default and will only begin the official roll-out after their testing is completed."
Puzzled! Perhaps referring to the earlier IPv6 trial on the older Sagem router?++ speedyrite ... powered by NOW Broadband from June 2018 ++
