That is the press for you. Note however that 'help' can be declined, it is not mandatory, unless you are being offered 'help' by the Mafia.
I wonder how many people who watched Hawii Five-0 in the 70s and Cagney and Lacey in the 80s have now migrated to watching NCIS, NCIS LA, the new Hawaii Five-O, Blue Bloods and may even be watching Chicago Fire.
Take the Sci-Fi Genre. Did the audience who watched ST:TNG grow up and start watching series such as Falling Skies?
What about those who watched Sex in the City? Did they also watch Beverly Hills 90210 or Melrose Pace?
Will any of the audiences watch the repeats?
It would be pointless recommending series such as Eastenders or Corry to myself as I am just not interested. However there are many who do watch them. Should someone come out with a new soap, will some of those who watch Eastenders and Corry also watch the new series?
There is a lot of money invested in developing these series in order to get audience figures up. Sure we can't all watch everything, so we tend to decide upon what we do like or are familiar with.

Sorry sky, do not want recommendations. I can make up my own mind.
I'm sure I recall in the sky+ app betas, that recommendations got a big thumbs down.

Yes, improving series link would be good. I use "never miss", which I think is very useful but usually doesn't catch the short mid season breaks.

It would be helpful to have series link for On Demand.

This is one of the major issues with having Sky keep up to date with news series shown in the USA. For some daft reason (sorry - love of the $) they like to take their mid-season breaks and have other breaks to cover Halloween, Thanks Giving and Valentines. Christmas and the New Year are the worse. This is when their viewing figures drop as they obviously don't know how to press the record button.
The option to use the 'Never Miss' facility on the Sky website is one I would recommend as well.
Sorry, no news on this at all.
This has been raised on several sites watched by Sky and for the present time it is not technically possible. Perhaps the different providers will introduce the coding in their On Demand output to support this, like they do with the broadcast material at some future date. This would help to resolve this one.
