Morning all,
Just checked this morning after Malcolm M's post on the sky forum yesterday to say that roll back will happen last night or this morning and i still havent got it, I managed to sort my speed issue out after a lift and shift due to connection issues, the CST that i spoke to actually knew about the problem with the firmware (maybe due to her being a gamer!) Hopefully later this morning it will be sorted but i will reserve judgement until i can check it later, if not then i will be switching back to my brothers loaned Black netgear!!
@months refund from sky? Or
@New Router Hub for the inconvenience and hassle?

You may get a months free if you complain, but do it politely.

Hi all,
Obviously it has been a little embarrassing for us and more than a little frustrating for all of you that the rollback has not yet gone ahead.
We have been assured that the first batch will go ahead overnight and tomorrow morning.
I apologise that this has not gone through as quickly as we would have liked. As a keen gamer and a heavy Internet user I can appreciate how frustrating it is.
As with other issues we encounter we will try to learn from this and to engage more quickly and effectively with online communities when things go wrong in future.

No they shouldn't be. The previous firmware has issues of its own that this firmware fixed and the issues are more fundamental to a routers basic operation than Teamspeak issues so it should be as it is and require a request to rollback as most users will be happy with 6.14.1a4N_UNI

Re: Sagem 2504n New FW Issues - 6.14.1a4N_UNI
The whole debacle has been very poorly handled.
We started this thread, and then gave Sky the URL for it the day that we did. As you can see for yourself, there has been very little, and poor communication from Sky over this matter.
Some people may not be affected, and anyway, Sky should have least checked it before releasing a forced download to the masses. It was very poor in every aspect.
The point is, Sky should have held back on the updates, a long time before they actually did, and to expectpeople to read the advice on here or the official forums was just laughable.
Most users would just think that it was Teamspeak or whatever playing up, and not even consider (or even know) that their FW had been updated.
There is nothing wrong with the fundamental basic router operation on the old FW - I have used it for 12 months. There is nothing lifesaving introduced by the new FW just more issues.
Where are Sky up to on it as at today?
Because for one, I have no idea, and the last time Sky could be bothered to post on here was 23rd August. Very poor show IMO~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Not arguing that it's been poorly handled but that normal for every release of firmware from Sky. All of them fix something and break something else but just because it breaks something doesn't mean it makes any sense as some have suggested to roll everyone back to an equally broken version of the firmware.
After all some of us finally have routers working as required after multiple months of them not so why should we be forced back because another group of users are having an issue. It should be those having the issue requesting a rollback. Otherwise while those having issues now have months of a working service with the downgrade others of us would be back to months of a non working service while a firmware which includes both the fixes in the current version and the Teamspeak fixes go through internal testing.
As for holding the firmware back longer, they held it back for many many months. I got it around a month early after they got annoyed with me posting on the forums every day and I was told it had been testing for months prior to that
