Re: Sky will be looking to run trials of fibre-optic broadband
Sky only just started an FTTP trial last Summer, so I can't see them jumping in with a full FTTP product range as well initially.
However it is important to remember that some exchanges have not had FTTC installed, but they have got FTTP. If Sky were not to offer an FTTP product range, then they wouldn't be able to supply a broadband product to these exchanges at some stage in the future.

Re: Sky will be looking to run trials of fibre-optic broadband
seen a few fibre box's being installed in the main roads (one box was like 5feet tall and taller than the original green box), around me.... just not on my road yet
common get you act together sky and let us in on that glass wire!!
and it does seem bt are speeding up but they will soon slow down, they are not even having to pay for the installation, they are getting a free network upgrade by the uk government....
yet they insist on increasing prices for an over inflated price plan.
