Nope, the announcement has pretty much been refuted, and at the moment, it would appear that there are no plans to implement these limits. However, it's their ball, so they can do what they want.

Talking Re: Sky To Enforce Usage Caps?

Well, I got some great help from reading the posts on this forum regarding FUP's and Usage Caps, and finally, I have a figure given by a Sky Representative.

I just rang in to the help desk where you can order Sky Broadband. I spoke to someone foreign (but did not manage to catch his name - couldn't understand it). He said "With Max package on Sky Broadband, you get quarter of terabyte fair download".

Those were his exact words, and for those of you new to broadband etc, it means someone who works for Sky, actually quoted an official figure, stating that the usage policy for the max package is 250gb!

I am overjoyed at this news. I was disconnected from BT Option 3 (Unlimited) for downloading 125gb. I would be quite happy with 250gb, but agree with you all that it should state this figure on their advertising.

I hope this helps some of you, and settles your debate here.

The only thing I want to know now, is how long will it stay like this?
