Sky broadband down across uk!
Now resolved
I have just got home from work and my Sky Broadband was down. Luckily I have my cable connection still live so I plugged that in to confirm it is Sky with the problem. I rang technical support and they were very apologetic. Apparently one of their servers is down? (don't ask me! I do not do technical) and they have no eta for it's repair.
This is affecting users across the uk.
To those of you awaiting activation, it seems you may not be able to connect even if BT have done their job.
Sky is back up and running now!Last edited by hugsie; 05-09-06 at 08:17 PM. Reason: Update

That would explain why my router is reporting my line status as being down.
I thought it might be BT playing more tricks with me.Things are bad enough
having to wait for SKY to resend my router .

I have an activation due today, nothing has happened yet. My line isnt down, i'm still using my old isp (Demon). I know sky will **** things up. They usually do but when their services do work they are great. I was also on UK Online once upon time using LLU aparently my exchange (wembley) wasn't compatible so the service never operated correctly. I hope this isn't the same with Sky though they are using the same backbone.
