      Back-to-Back Movies

I'm becoming disheartened with Sky movies, no that's not quite right, I'm fed-up with the following movie channels showing back-to-back movies:

      StarWars 303
      Lord of the Rings 307
      Star Trek 311

When I took out my Sky movie package you at least got a variety on these channels, now it's much of a muchness. I'm seriously thinking of canceling my movie package if not Sky TV in favor of Netflix.

      I can sympathise with you.

Personally I have the six Star Wars films on Blu-ray. I also have all the LOTR & Hobbit films on Blu-ray too. I don't have all the ST films on disc or tape though.

Have all the Star wars films on Google Play.
Bought the new one on a 1 special one day offer a few months back.
Superb PQ with Google Play and can play on anything, just great via chromecast.
The deals you get daily with Google Play are superb, across movies, music and books. Beats anything sky offers in that area.

All the older star trek films have been shown back to back recently on Syfy channel.
Mind I have all those too in digital form, including the newer ones.

Assume the Sky Lord of the Rings movie channel included all the hobbit ones too, otherwise 3 movies over a month or so would have been tedious.
Have all the LOTR extended on Google play along with the Hobbit movies.
Did Sky show the extended version of LOTR?

I have to agree - we took out the package years ago....and there used to be a time when you'd be frantically making sure you didn't miss anything...now there's nothing but rubbish on...and I don't even like Sci-fi!...... Its a pretty pathetic...and I don't know whether it's because we've got one of the old sky plus boxes, but there are never any new films in the 'never miss' section.......... so it means scrolling through on a daily basis to see what's on.....I mean I was so desperate to watch something that I was watching 'Pretty in pink'....and that's about 30 years old...
