In my opinion, Sky appear to be doing computer data analysis
to target incentives to some customers but not others.
They know a great deal about people like us.

It appears that they know who they sent these letters out to so you might not get this offer is you haven't received one. I am on the full package with a 25% discount and never got one but as I would end up paying more via this offer I am not to bothered.

I'm a two mix subscriber with Sky +

Got my letter yesterday, and signed up straight away, I assume I can dump the movies from Sky + to DVD, not encrypted are they?
Spoke to a very nice lady at the call centre, she sounded just like Shilpa Shetty.
She told me that after the promotional period you can cancel at any time and only be charged for those days you had the service for and not until the end of the month.

I just got this offer and I can still move the card between boxes for all channels apart from the movies, so I am still happy

not sure about the movies to dvd bit - i think they are encrypted

Sky are obviously just looking out for new punters - another reason why i am not happy is having to pay for movies just to get the remote record on mobile - a service they say on their site is free.

They have so much money they won't miss my 53 a month, just aswell really i've cancelled the lot

I have the full movie package, so will not get this mailing.
The main movie channels are not encrypted.
I have saved some directly to DVD via my DVD recorder,
rather than using Copy from Sky+.
I rarely use the DVD recorder now that I have Sky+,
which is a joy to use compared to a DVD recorder.
However, it took quite a bit of juggling of settings to get an
acceptable quality of recording on to DVD.

Re: Sky Movies for extra 1- for 3 months

Sky+ doesnt directly copy to DVD, I think its when you connect the DVD Recorder to the Sky+ and hit the "Copy" function in the Sky Planner.

And then hit record on the DVD Recorder with it set to the channel/feed the Sky is on.

Murdoch, You should ask, We were on the full movies and sports and entertainment, After we recieved this mailing at the other house, We rung up and got it too.
