      Odd Film Out.

      Sky Movies (May 9) categorises “To Die For" as a Comedy.
      The movie is based on a real crime about a female teacher who
      seduces a teenage student so that he will murder her husband.
      Great cast, Nicole Kidman, Matt Dillon and a young Joaquin Phoenix.
      It is a superbly crafted film.
      Radio Times deservedly gives it 5 stars.
      There is some black humour..... but a comedy?

      In Modern Greats you can watch “Mannequin”.
      This must be a joke.
      Mannequin, is one of the silliest films you are likely
      to see, but might appeal to dummies.
      RT rates it 2 stars. Over generous.

      In Drama there was “A walk in the Clouds”.
      RT says it's a “slushy romance” – 2 star rating.
      Embarrassing ethnic stereotypes and one star too many.
      And I don't mean Keanu Reeves.

      All subjective opinions I know, but it might be fun
      to spot the odd film out.

      Re: Odd Film Out.

      That is the problem with catergories such as "modern greats" and "comedy". Such films can fit into both wheil other should fit in either. Bring back the old movie channels that is what I say.

      Re: Odd Film Out.

      Sky Movies May 13.
      Starship Troopers. Set on another planet
      where troopers fight bug eyed monsters.
      You might expect it on Sci-Fi/Horror, but no it's
      on Action/Thriller.
      Psycho3 is on Sci-Fi / Horror but should be on
      PRC - the Pointless Remakes Channel.

      Re: Odd Film Out.

      Is it not time for BBC/ITV to create another film channel on Freeview?
      Film4 is great, but another channel is needed where they can
      repeat films currently scattered all over the schedules.
      Last week BBC repeated an interesting film Disturbing Behaviour
      at Midnight.
      Disturbing Behaviour could fit into any one of the Sky categories
      -except Premier.
      Sky would have probably shown it on Family.
      It was about parents who have unruly teenagers given mind implants
      to brainwash them.
      Unfortunately it goes horribly wrong whenever the teenagers get a "hard on".
      Which happens quite often.

      If he likes movies, I suggest he goes with Freesat not Freeview.
      Not only Film4 but also some bizarre free movie channels
      like
      * Eat Cinema
      * Film4
      * HorrorChannel
      * Matinee Movies
      * True Movies
      * Bad Movies
      Unfortunately, they all have commercial breaks.

      Re: Odd Film Out.

      skyfan has posted the complete Sky channel list here.

      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-t...nnel-list.html

      The channels with a star are Freesat.
      If you have the dish and box all you need is a 20 card
      from Sky.
