      breaking up of certain channels

Hi I have a problem. i seem to be having trouble receiving certain channels on sky hd. They are sky one, sky atlantic, sky witness, and discovery, all are hd channels and i know they are transmitted on the same frequency. this is not a constant thing, sometimes the picture is great then at other times there is no picture at all. the box comes up with cannot find a signal. have looked at the signal strength and it will be zero when the channels are bad. when watching any other channels in hd the picture is great. some where i read that the 4g signal could interfer but i thought that only applied to freeview signals.

Try swapping the satellite inputs over. You may have a fault in one of the cables or LNB. If the problem channels change that will show where the fault is. Make sure to unplug the box before doing this.
