Recording programs I've not asked for!

      Hi

      I hope someone can help.

Over the last week or so, my Sky+HD box has been recording programs I've not asked for. The programs are all on Channel 5 which seems very bizarre.

Does anybody know what could be causing this and how to stop it as there have been a few program clashes as a result.

I've not known about the programs being recorded until it has happened as they don't show in the schedule.

Any help and advice will be appreciated.

      Thanks

The one feature I can think that might explain this is the Series Record.

I was updated last year and over the past year Sky have been working to improve it.

Are the programmes being recorded similar to what you've recorded previously?

Also navigate to the 'Scheduled' folder in the Planner and take a look at the items listed with the 'Next Series' and 'Next Episode' links.

If you find what it is there then press <yellow> to delete the entry. Scroll down and keep checking to see if there are more entries.

Please do make a note of the entries you delete.

Return after a day or two to see if the entries have returned. If they are there again don't panic, this has been observed elsewhere. Just repeat the process of deleting them.

You may need to do this a few times.

Ha! My missus and I have just had a discussion, of sorts, about why three channel 5 programmes were recorded today. I thought it was her doing, while in one of her pain killer induced 'sleep/awake' moments.

      Then I Googled and found this link seemed to answer the question;

Changes to Channel 5 - Sky Community

Thank-you very much. That explains it.

Check further down the list. You may find a couple of other entries for 'next episode' and 'next series'.
