      Changing the frequency fixed it but ... I don't get why this is needed. The only thing to have changed is the update.

      Hi there, OP here. Apologies for not getting back to you, went on hols for a month and then forgot about this until my sky updated again after having previously rolled back.
      the tv is a Toshiba Regza 32AV504D
      hdmi control says on, hdmi control via rf output is off

      Just to further this, if I switch hdmi via rf to on it makes no difference. At the moment, to watch tv upstairs, I have to have the downstairs one on at the same time, or switch it off and take the hdmi cable out of the back.

      Sky are investigating this issue concerning some hitachi & toshiba models.

      There's a thread elsewhere on the web where at least 5 owners of toshiba AV504D or AV505D are affected.
